Each plant has different watering needs. Check with the experts at Wading River Nursery and Garden Supply and they will be able to tell you exactly what your plant needs.

8What kind of mulch do you have?

Natural Mulch – Natural mulch is made from ground-up wood. It is made from all organic products, trees and branches, and never have dyes or artificial items added to them.

Colored Wood Mulch – This is made up of pallet wood, or kiln dried wood; it is color absorbent and pest free.

Different Colored Mulches – We carry different colors such as black, chocolate (also known as cocoa or mocha) and red.

9What’s the difference between annuals and perennials?

Annual: A plant that flowers, produce seed, and dies in one growing season.

Perennial: A plant that lives for more than two years. They are usually small flowering plants, that grow and bloom over the spring and summer, die back every autumn and winter and then return in the spring.

10What’s the difference between a shrub and a tree?

Shrubs: A woody plant without a trunk but with several stems growing from the base.

Trees: A woody perennial plant that grows to a height of several feet and typically has a single direct main stem side branch.

11What is foundation planting?

Plants are located within two to four feet around the foundation of house.

12What kind of plants do I need for my garden?

13Is it possible to move my plants from one part of my garden to another?

Yes with proper watering plan, soil and fertilizer.
